Spring 2026
Nursery
Co-op Class Options

Nursery - 1st Period

Ages 1 and under need to have a parent stay with them (whether that’s in the nursery, or if you choose to take the child around with you).  For ages 2 and under, we will have nursery volunteers to watch your kids.  We have background checks on all adults attending MBCA.  We have two wonderful spaces for babies and toddlers, with baby beds, changing tables, toys, etc.

Sensory Stations (K3-K5)- 1st Period

Will include themed sensory bins, play doh play, and other sensory based activities. Kids will be able to rotate between sensory play and fine motor activities. Possible additions will be multi sensory crafts and some music/dance based activities.

Outdoor Nature Study (K3-K5) - 1st Period

Outdoor Nature Study & Play is a hands-on class that encourages students to explore and enjoy the natural world. The first half of class focuses on guided nature study, including observing plants and animals, noticing seasonal changes, and developing curiosity through simple outdoor activities. The second half of class is dedicated to outdoor play, allowing students time for movement, creativity, and unstructured exploration.

Toddler Story + Song Time

We will read beautiful board books and sing songs! We will talk about play about the stories afterwards.

!!FULL!! In this class, we will go over all-kinds of basic preschool/Kindergarten concepts.  We will work on colors, letters, numbers, etc.  We will do many fun activities to reinforce the lessons!

Crafts
(K3-K5)- 3rd Period

Let your child’s imagination run wild! Crafts is a space for children to explore their world through glitter, glue, and paint. We’ll focus on seasonal projects and sensory-rich materials that encourage curiosity and tactile learning. It’s a messy, marvelous time for every little artist!

Life Math (K3-1st Grade) - 3rd Period

Students will learn about counting, basic shapes, opposites,, positional words and more. They will learn about weather, nature and how unique God created them to be. Come join the living math adventures.

Fine Motor Skills (K3-K5) - 4th Period

This class helps preschool children strengthen the small muscles in their hands through fun, hands-on activities. Children will practice skills needed for writing, drawing, and cutting. Activities include playdough, bead stringing, puzzles, coloring, tearing and pasting, building with small blocks, and simple crafts. The class supports hand-eye coordination, focus, and confidence while encouraging creativity and independence.

We’ll go through some major events of the New Testament in a way that toddlers can understand.

Dance
(1st-3rd) -
2nd Period

Each child will need ballet shoes. Tights and leotard will be optional. Later in the semester we might add tap, which would mean each girl would also need tap shoes. We will be learning some French vocabulary in addition to dance techniques as well as some dance history! We will also learn about rhythms, how to count music, and increasing awareness of one’s own body in space.

Theater
(2nd-12th) -
2nd Period

Theater class is for boys & girls grades 2nd – 12th. Students will have the opportunity to learn a group song, solos, duets, monologues, &/or duologues. Class funds will be used to have judges come to campus at the end of the semester as we host our own “in-house” theater competition with only MBCA students. MBCA Theater Competition Team students will also have the opportunity to compete against other schools in various local competitions. Outside competitions are optional & will be an additional fee.

Students will break off in small groups to build freely or collaborate on small building projects. Aiming for this class to be a “break in the day” but I may come up with building challenges or themes depending on how everyone meshes together 😊 A perfect class to practice teamwork and creative thinking. Please no littles in this class as to avoid those perfect choking hazards!

We will take a famous artist each week and study their life and style of art and then complete a video led art project.

In Nature Science class, we will discover God’s wonderful creation as we learn about a new animal and its habitat each week.  We will go through a lesson with fun videos and do activities and worksheets that go along with each lesson.  We will also take time to consider how what we have learned relates to our amazing God and His creation.

 !!FULL!! Students will learn basic cooking skills and kitchen safety in a controlled setting with fun recipes to practice with. Each week will get a little more challenging as we move from no cook/bake meals to using the stovetop and oven. Students may be asked to provide a Tupperware container to bring home their meals. Please make me aware of any food sensitivities or serious allergies.

Ukelele (2nd-12th)
3rd Period

Learn the ukulele!  We will learn fundamentals, like posture and strum, and learn easy chords. By the end of the semester, we will learn one worship song!!

 

You will need to provide your own ukulele.  You can buy your own on Amazon for around $40.

We will learn ballet & jazz technique, turns, leaps, & the basics of counting music & putting moves to accurate counts. Class funds will be used to participate in the theater competition & purchase a jazz costume for performers to keep after the spring recital.

In this Bible class, students will discover how God was with Joseph through every high and low–from dreams and betrayal to forgiveness and restoration.  Through hands-on activities, Scripture memory, and engaging lessons, we’ll learn about God’s faithfulness, providence, and how He works all things for good. Each class will include a craft or activity to reinforce the lesson.

!!FULL!! Each week we will focus on a different inreresting aspect of marine science. We will look at everything from the physical properties of the world’s oceans and odd little invertebrates to giant whales and surprising sharks! Class time will include a mixture of activity pages, experiments, videos, and games. Lessons will be taught at an elementary level, but handouts and bonus work can be scaled for slightly older or younger students.

1st Period

Story of the World 2 picks up where we left off last year from volume 1. It covers the major historical events from the fall of Rome through the rise of the Renaissance.
 
We will do activities and maps to go along with the chapters. You do need to purchase the book The Story of the World volume 2 by Susan Wise Bauer.

Tea Time With Tolkien
(4th-12th) -
1st Period

We will be discussing the life and literature of Tolkien, the time period he was writing in and how his writings both inspired and shaped the culture around him during that time in world history. We will also be discussing themes, and theology related to his writings as it shaped his stories. Each week we will have tea and some form of food derived from his stories (the hobbit in particular).

Dude Perfect: Battles (6th-12) - 1st Period

Pound it. Noggin. See ya! Join us for a semester of non-stop action as we recreate the best battles and mini-games from Dude Perfect. From bottle flips to bucket bonanzas, students will compete in individual and team challenges to earn points and bragging rights. If you love sports, trick shots, and high-energy fun, this is the class for you.

 

Just like in the show, each contestant will compete for stars.  At the end of the semester, the player with the most stars will receive a prize!  

 

**NOTE** There WILL be some games with food/snacks in this class.  If your child has food allergies, this may not be a good class choice for them.

Tabletop Board Games (4th-12th) - 2nd Period

My class will be a combination of classic card games and tabletop games this time. We will alternate learning classic card games such as Kings in the Corner and Solitaire and everyone’s favorite board games such as Sorry, Settlers of Catan, Jenga, and more. Everyone will get to take home their own deck of cards at the end of the semester.

Organized Mass Chaos (6th-12th) - 2nd Period

This class will be chaotic Games geared toward keeping the kids active and working together as a team. The class will be split into 2 teams (Teal and Navy) and they will complete in different games each class with the goal of winning points for their team. At the end of the year, the winning team will be presented with a “G.O.A.T.” Trophy and the photo added to the yearbook. The games will be chaotic and fun and some will involve water so on certain days a change of clothes may be needed.

This class will be a backyard style of basketball. The kids will be split into teams. I will teach some simple basketball techniques, and let the kids scrimmage.

!!FULL!! In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn foundational crochet stitches, skills, and pattern reading. Girls who already have a basic knowledge of crochet are welcome to work on some more advanced techniques or just spend a cozy hour crocheting among fiends! Students are required to bring their own yarn and hook (worsed weight yarn and size H or I hooks are ideal) and are welcome to message me before class starts with any questions about materials.

Baseball (5th-12th) - 3rd Period

This class will be backyard-baseball-style.  We have a real baseball field on our campus, so it’ll be a great place to play!  We will learn the basics of baseball and just play!

We will have some basic equipment available to share, but if you’d like to bring your own equipment (helmet, bat, glove), that’s great!  Students will definitely need to bring their own gloves!

Story builders (4th-6th) -
4th Period

Students will explore their creativity through story telling while writing their own short story over the course of the semester. With their own personal notebook, they will learn how to develop a character, story line and setting from beginning to end. Spelling and handwriting are not my main focus so please ensure your children are close to or have mastered this skill.

Our class will be a science that covers a broad introduction to the principles and practices of agriculture, encompassing both plant and animal sciences, as well as related fields like soil science, agricultural business, and natural resources.
This class will be both hands on and written. (Our class might possibly qualify to be an official club with mobile county 4H in the future, I’m waiting on approval from the office)

Let’s explore the German language together!  We will learn basic, everyday phrases, along with useful vocabulary.  The students will have input of what we will learn together!

This class will most likely have a small portion of “homework” every week that will be crucial for the next week.  This can include anything from practicing phrases to a short worksheet.

More Like Jesus: A Study on the book of Luke

Theater class is for boys & girls grades 2nd – 12th. Students will have the opportunity to learn a group song, solos, duets, monologues, &/or duologues. Class funds will be used to have judges come to campus at the end of the semester as we host our own “in-house” theater competition with only MBCA students. MBCA Theater Competition Team students will also have the opportunity to compete against other schools in various local competitions. Outside competitions are optional & will be an additional fee.

Tabletop Board Games (4th-12th) - 2nd Period

 

Max Students: 

My class will be a combination of classic card games and tabletop games this time. We will alternate learning classic card games such as Kings in the Corner and Solitaire and everyone’s favorite board games such as Sorry, Settlers of Catan, Jenga, and more. Everyone will get to take home their own deck of cards at the end of the semester.

Organized Mass Chaos (6th-12th) - 2nd Period

This class will be chaotic Games geared toward keeping the kids active and working together as a team. The class will be split into 2 teams (Teal and Navy) and they will complete in different games each class with the goal of winning points for their team. At the end of the year, the winning team will be presented with a “G.O.A.T.” Trophy and the photo added to the yearbook. The games will be chaotic and fun and some will involve water so on certain days a change of clothes may be needed.

Basketball (4th-7th) -
3rd Period

This class will be a backyard style of basketball. The kids will be split into teams. I will teach some simple basketball techniques, and let the kids scrimmage.

Life Skills (7th-12th) - 3rd Period

 

 

In this class, we will be learning practical life skills.  

 

We will focus on things like money, budgeting, bills & debt, job applications, job interviews, balancing checkbooks (bank accounts), dealing with financial emergencies, and more.

Dance (3rd-8th) -
3rd Period

We will learn ballet & jazz technique, turns, leaps, & the basics of counting music & putting moves to accurate counts. Class funds will be used to participate in the theater competition & purchase a jazz costume for performers to keep after the spring recital.

Baseball (5th-12th) - 3rd Period

This class will be backyard-baseball-style.  We have a real baseball field on our campus, so it’ll be a great place to play!  We will learn the basics of baseball and just play!

We will have some basic equipment available to share, but if you’d like to bring your own equipment (helmet, bat, glove), that’s great!  Students will definitely need to bring their own gloves!

!!FULL!! Crochet (4th-12th) - 3rd Period

!!FULL!! In this class, students will have the opportunity to learn foundational crochet stitches, skills, and pattern reading. Girls who already have a basic knowledge of crochet are welcome to work on some more advanced techniques or just spend a cozy hour crocheting among fiends! Students are required to bring their own yarn and hook (worsed weight yarn and size H or I hooks are ideal) and are welcome to message me before class starts with any questions about materials.

Ukulele (2nd-12th) - 3rd Period

Learn the ukulele!  We will learn fundamentals, like posture and strum, and learn easy chords. By the end of the semester, we will learn one worship song!!

 

 

You will need to provide your own ukulele.  You can buy your own on Amazon for around $40.

!!FULL!! Party class will be about planning parties. We will be planning with a budget in mind. We will also make some of the decorations ourselves. We will plan on having a party every other week.

Flag Football (6th-12th) - 4th Period

This semester of flag football will be backyard style. We will let the kids  play simple scrimmages, as well as letting them try different football positions and drills.

Agricultural Science (6th-12th) -
4th Period

Our class will be a science that covers a broad introduction to the principles and practices of agriculture, encompassing both plant and animal sciences, as well as related fields like soil science, agricultural business, and natural resources.
This class will be both hands on and written. (Our class might possibly qualify to be an official club with mobile county 4H in the future, I’m waiting on approval from the office)

!!FULL!! Marine Science (3rd-8th) - 4th Period

!!FULL!! Each week we will focus on a different inreresting aspect of marine science. We will look at everything from the physical properties of the world’s oceans and odd little invertebrates to giant whales and surprising sharks! Class time will include a mixture of activity pages, experiments, videos, and games. Lessons will be taught at an elementary level, but handouts and bonus work can be scaled for slightly older or younger students.
